M. Duanne Andrade is the CEO of the Solar and Energy Loan Fund (SELF), a CDFI and Green Bank based in Florida with a footprint across the South. Her leadership in bringing capital to the front lines of the climate crisis has established SELF as a pioneer of green banking and as a key deployer of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.
Duanne is passionate about social, environmental, and economic equity and has spent the past several decades innovating lending models to unlock capital for low-wealth communities across the United States and Latin America. Duanne thrives on challenging the status quo to ensure that everyone benefits from an equitable, green economy.
Duanne serves as Chair of Climate United’s Advisory Council, as well as on Opportunity Finance Network’s Climate Advisory Committee, the Advisory Board of Ponce Bank, and the Boards of the National Association for Community Asset Builders (NALCAB), the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA), and the Community Impact Fund of Grow America (formerly NDC).
She has a BA in Political Science from NYU (New York University) and an MBA from the Bolivian Catholic University’s “Masters for Development” a program established in cooperation with the Harvard Institute for International Development (HIID).
